Client experience

What people often come in for.

Every body is different, and so is each session. These are the most common reasons people make the call — written in their own words.

The everyday knot

The shoulder-and-neck tightness that builds across a week at a desk or behind a wheel — usually paired with a tension headache by Friday.

After a long day outside

A day of wade-fishing, hiking, or riding leaves the hips, low back, and calves asking for slow, patient work before the next morning.

A stubborn area

An old strain, a recurring spot between the shoulder blades, an aching low back — something specific that hasn't given way to stretching alone.

A reset, full stop

No specific complaint. Just an hour to set everything down and arrive back in the body before the next thing on the calendar.

Care during a hard stretch

Grief, stress, or a sleepless season — when steady, considered touch is part of what supports a return to normal rhythm.

A first-time gift to oneself

For people who've never booked a massage before — the goal is for it to feel as welcoming and clear as it should be.

Resources

A few simple ideas for between visits.

General self-care notes — not medical advice. If a symptom is persistent or worsening, please speak with a qualified healthcare provider.

01

Hydrate after a session

Drinking water in the hours after bodywork helps the body settle. Skip the heavy meal right before, too.

02

Move gently the next day

A walk, easy stretching, or a warm shower keeps the work from "locking back in." Save hard training for the day after.

03

Heat for tight, ice for sharp

Heat tends to help generalized tightness; ice is better for an acute, sharp pain. When in doubt, ask at your next session.

04

Breathe slowly, often

A few minutes of slow nasal breathing — in for four, out for six — can release surprising amounts of held tension.

05

Cadence matters more than length

Many clients find a regular monthly visit more useful than a single long session every quarter. Even short check-ins help.

06

Tell us what worked

What you liked — and didn't — shapes the next session. Feedback at any point during the session is welcome.

FAQ

Questions, before you call.

Answers to what people most often ask. For anything not covered here, please call (406) 581-1506 — it's the most direct way to get a clear answer.

How do I book a session?

The simplest path is a call to (406) 581-1506. We'll talk briefly about what you're looking for and confirm a time for your 90-minute session. If we don't pick up, leave a short message — calls are returned as soon as possible.

What are your rates?

All sessions are 90 minutes and cost $150. Each session is multi-technique and may include hot or cold stones as needed.

What should I expect at my first visit?

A brief intake — anything you'd like to focus on, areas to avoid, current pain or recent injuries. You'll have a quiet room to undress to your comfort and get on the table under a sheet. Pressure is checked during the session, so speak up at any point if something needs to shift.

Do you take walk-ins?

Sessions are by appointment. If you're visiting Ennis and the calendar happens to be open, we'll do our best to fit you in — calling ahead is the only way to find out.

How much pressure will be used?

As much (or as little) as you want. Deep tissue is available for clients who want it; "deep" doesn't mean painful, and communication during the session keeps it productive. Lighter pressure is just as valid a choice.

Should I tip?

Tips are appreciated but never expected. Payment is accepted by cash, check, or Venmo only.

I'm pregnant / recently injured / managing a condition — can I still book?

Mention it on the call. A pre-natal massage table is available. Some situations are a great fit; others benefit from clearance from your healthcare provider first. We'll figure it out together. This site doesn't offer medical advice.

Are gift certificates available?

Yes. Gift certificates are available and can be arranged by phone.

What to expect

Simple good-practice notes.

A few baseline expectations — written so visits are clear and unhurried for everyone. Specific policies are confirmed at booking.

Arrival

Arriving a few minutes early helps the session start on time. If you're running behind, a quick text or call is appreciated — sessions still end at the scheduled time so the next client isn't delayed.

Cancellations

Life happens. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. Specific cancellation terms are confirmed when you book.

Health & safety

If you're unwell — fever, contagious illness, fresh open injury — please reschedule. Mention any health updates (new meds, injuries, pregnancy) when you call so the session can be adjusted.

Comfort & consent

You are in charge of pressure, draping, music, and conversation. Anything can be adjusted at any point during the session — just ask.

Payment

Payment is settled at the end of the session. Cash, check, or Venmo are the only forms of payment accepted.

Children & minors

Sessions for minors require a parent or guardian to be present and to sign at intake. Please ask when you call.

These notes are intentionally general. Please call to confirm current policies, pricing, and availability — every situation is a little different and a quick conversation is the best way to make sure your visit goes smoothly.

Ready when you are

The fastest path to a session is a quick call.

Tell us a little about what you're looking for and we'll match the right session to your week. If we can't pick up, leave a short message — calls are returned as soon as possible.
